Our Red Jade Australia Banh Pia Cake is a modern adaptation of these different recipes and techniques used in these traditional cake-making process. The result is our Banh Pia Cake, a delicious buttery, soft layered pastry (not crumbly), encrusted with a soft moist mung bean filling in Durian flavours. It is a Durian Bomb as there inside the filling is encrusted with real durian flesh!
Ingredients:
Filling (60%): Mung Bean Paste (40%): (Sugar, Mung Bean, Canola Oil, Glucose Syrup, Vanilla Flavour), Durian Jam (20%): (Durian, Winter Melon [Melon, Sugar, Water])
Pastry: Wheat flour, Water, Shortening (Solidified Vegetable Oil), Sugar, Canola Oil, Salt, Tapioca Starch, Colour (124), Egg Wash.
