Our Red Jade Australia Banh Pia cake is a modern adaptation of different recipes and techniques used in traditional cake-making process. The result is our Banh Pia cake, a delicious soft layered pastry (not crumbly), encrusted with a soft moist mung bean filling and durian jam. It is a durian bomb as the filling is encrusted with real durian!
Ingredients:
Filling (60%): Mung Bean Paste (40%): (Sugar, Mung Bean, Canola Oil, Glucose Syrup, Vanilla Flavour), Durian Jam (20%): (Durian, Winter Melon [Melon, Sugar, Water])
Pastry: Wheat flour, Water, Shortening (Solidified Vegetable Oil), Sugar, Canola Oil, Salt, Tapioca Starch, Colour (124), Egg Wash.
