Our Red Jade Australia Pia Cake (Bánh Pia) is a modern adaptation of different recipes and techniques used in traditional cake-making process. The result is our Pia Cake, a delicious soft layered pastry (not crumbly), encrusted with a soft moist mung bean filling in pandan flavour. The authentic pandan flavour is derived from juice crushed from fresh pandan leaves.
Ingredients:
Filling (60%): Pandan & Mung Bean Paste (Sugar, Mung Bean [21%], Canola Oil, Glucose Syrup, Pandan Juice, Pandan Colour & Flavouring).
Pastry: Wheat flour, Water, Shortening (Solidified Vegetable Oil), Sugar, Canola Oil, Salt, Tapioca Starch, Colour (124), Egg Wash.
